Fundraising

For the next two weeks, your children will have the opportunity to raise money as well.

Our school goal is $30,000, and we know we can achieve that!! The current pledge goal per student is $100, so please spread the word about our jog-a-thon to friends, family, and neighbors! No donation amount is too small (of course, no amount is too big either), and everything is tax deductible! If every student raises $100, we will more than meet our goal!

For our Jog-A-Thon fundraising, we're using Pledgestar, an awesome web based fundraising system that makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. We’ve used this platform in the past with great success, and we are happy to roll it out again this year!

Our Jog-A-Thon is April 14, so please register your children now to help our school raise as much as we can for art, music, PE, garden, computers, science, field trips and classroom enrichment.

Using your computer's browser:

  • Go to http://pledgestar.com/brandon

  • Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”

  • Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”

  • Follow the instructions on-screen to register Jogger(s) and add family and friends

Using your Android or Apple phone or tablet:

  • Go to your device’s App Store and search for "PledgeStar" to download the Family App, or go to https://pledgestar.com/brandon/downloadapp.html

  • On the home screen enter your event code: “brandon” to locate your event

  • Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”

  • Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”

  • Follow the instructions on-screen to register Jogger(s) and add family and friends

When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.

This year we’re doing things a bit different in that we are only doing class and grade level prizes. Individual students will have the chance to win prizes in a raffle drawing during the jog-a-thon. You will be able to track your class and grade fundraising efforts on Pledgestar.

Schedule

Due to current district guidelines, no more than two grades will share a “track” at a time. Parents are encouraged to come and cheer for the kids as they run, though! Spectators make the event so much fun!

Please note the schedule for the morning of April 14th is as follows:

8:00am Coffee on the Curb, free coffee and snacks (adults only, small children ok)

8:30am Gates Open

8:50-9:20am Kindergarten and First Grade (jog on inner track), Second Grade (jogs on outer track)

9:25-9:55am Third and Fourth (inner track), Fifth and Sixth (outer track)


We have all kinds of raffle prizes and decorations to make the event fun and special. A DJ will keep spirits high with upbeat music. We can’t wait to come together to cheer on the kids and support our amazing elementary school!



Volunteer Opportunities


Volunteering is a wonderful way to get more connected with the school and get to know people, and the Jog-a-thon is the perfect place to start! We need *a lot* of volunteers!
